“TheMufinMan” Wins the 888Millions Sunday Special ($14,009)
It took just a little more than 8 1/2 hours for New Zealand’s “TheMufinMan” to ship the 888Millions $215 Sunday Special for $14,009 after agreeing to a four-way deal at the final table. They battled through a field of 486 entries including 122 re-entries to win the biggest share of the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool in the 888Millions $215 Sunday Special.
Also scoring big with the big deal were “mieux90” (second – $12,618), “IamBudha” (third – $11,414), and American poker expat Aaron “YoureMagical” Gustavson (fourth – $11,414).
Gustavson was perhaps the most well-known at the final table that also included the likes of Bulgarian online baller “bah23” (seventh – $3,250). Most of Gustavson’s $1.8 million in cashes date back more than a decade ago when he shipped the 2009 EPT London Main Event for £850,000 ($1,353,158). The American, who was waves a Mexican flag at 888poker, has also impressively collected more than $5 million in online cashes.

888Millions Superstorm Recent Results
“TheMufinMan” and the three other players that were part of the big deal in the Sunday Special weren’t the only big winners over the weekend.
They weren’t even the biggest winners over the weekend with this honor going to “futomaki123”, who shipped the 888Millions $109 Sunday Mega Deep – $100,000 GTD for $18,750. This player also shipped the 888Millions $44 PKO 8-Max – $5,000 GTD on Saturday for $657 and $722 in bounties to add to their impressive weekend haul.
Other winners over the weekend included Denis “_DENGER_” Kuznetsov, Anton “VnilaVader” Herrmann, and Michael “HyperX.” Skeldon.

Opening flights for the Superstorm Main Event are underway with thus far 1,925 entrants (including 198 inflight re-entries) already hopping into the action in hopes for a lion’s share of the at least $1 million guaranteed in the prize pool.
A total of 241 players and counting have thus far virtually bagged a stack with many more to come. Brazil’s “vitola99” was the chip leader for since near the beginning of the series after growing his 10,000 opening chip stack into a monster stack of 227,527 in chips.
This has all changed with Sweden’s “AsaNisse4” amassed a stack of 229,262 over the weekend to become the first new chip leader in weeks.
Also popping into the top ten on the leaderboard over the weekend was Russia’s “Maedhros11” in eighth place. Meanwhile, Malta’s “GarbinaD” and Lithuania’s “InfoDealer” were bumped out of the top ten but still maintain very healthy stacks heading into Day 2.

The Main Event provides plenty of action with 20-minute blind levels on Day 1. Opening flights end the sooner of 12 blind levels in the books or the field trimmed down to 14 percent of its starting size.
The next opening flight takes place on Monday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. GMT / 3 p.m. EDT. There are plenty of satellites for players to qualify for pennies on the dollars along with many paths for players to get their tickets for free!
