Our tipster reveals his best horse racing tips for Ascot on Saturday.

STRADIVARIUS should really regain his Long Distance Cup after a narrow defeat to Kew Gardens last year, but I’m going to try and get some each-way value by taking a chance on DAWN PATROL .
The colt has had some decent performances this season with a third in the Irish Derby and victory last time out in Group 3 action at The Curragh.
He gets weight allowance as a three-year-old and has arguably France’s best jockey in Pierre-Charles Boudot in the saddle, so I’m optimistic he can finish in the top three.

The Champions Sprint is up next and I’ve been keen on OXTED all season, so I’m going to keep faith with him here.
He’s won three on the bounce and delivered Cieren Fallon his first Group 1 last time out when he triumphed in the July Cup.
I think he’s improved so much as a natural sprinter and looks a nice price to extend his winning run here.
I’d also be inclined to have an each-way punt on ONASSIS at a very big price. I tipped her when she won the Sandringham here at the Royal meeting and she’s since won in France and Goodwood, proving herself on all types of ground. Betway are paying four places and she could sneak in there.

It’s a tough Fillies & Mares to call, this one, but I’m siding with ANTONIA DE VEGA .
She got back to winning ways after her disappointing run here last year with victories at Pontefract and then Group 3 success at Newmarket.
There’s no doubt that there’s still a lot of talent left in this filly and I’m hoping she can handle the step up in class here.

I’ll keep this one quite short – PALACE PIER is my NAP of the day.
He’s undoubtedly the best miler in the world and his last two performances have been particularly impressive. I just think he wins here.
If you want to find a bit of value, then adding CIRCUS MAXIMUS in a straight forecast might be the best bet.
The winner of the Queen Anne loves this course and was third behind the Palace Pier in a Group 1 at Deauville.

We have a really strong Champions Stakes up next.
The contest between MAGICAL and Mishriff could be the race of the day, but I think Aidan O’Brien’s super mare has enough to triumph again.
She is a multiple Group 1 winner and beat Ghaiyyath last time out in the Irish Champion Stakes.
She loves the trip and course, having won on Champions Day for the past two years, and I think she’ll complete the hat-trick here.

I like the look of two in the Balmoral Handicap.
The first is Charlie Fellowes’ KING OTTOKAR , who has experience on this track having finished third in the Hampton Court in 2019, but disappointed in the Wolferton this year.
He doesn’t have the best form coming into the race but is nicely handicapped in this field, and the trainer is absolutely flying at the moment.
The other one I like has the deadly partnership of Clive Cox and Adam Kirby for RIVER NYMPH .
He’s won two on the bounce, including a handicap here in July where he powered home by two lengths.
A two-length victory against a decent field last time out at Newbury is also a nice form boost and, with five places up for grabs, I’m hoping he’ll be up there.
